Paying Your Bill On Time
Why pay more than you owe? A penalty is charged on all bill payments not received in the Plateau Electric Cooperative office or banks by the due date. A postmark does not qualify as the date payment is received. One of the best ways to avoid late fees is to use our automatic bank draft feature.
Equal Payment Plan (Budget Billing)
Budget billing allows members to pay a set amount every month. Once every 12 months, a “true-up” of the account occurs, based on actual usage. This reconciliation occurs during the month of April. The true-up might require you to pay for an excess amount of kilowatt hours used during the period if usage exceeds your budgeted monthly total. Or, if usage is less, you will receive a credit or check from the true-up. Budget billing participation requires that the member has had electric service from the co-op for at least 12 months. Members must sign up in March. Click here to download and print the level billing application (PDF).
For your convenience, you may download the e-pay application and print it at home. However, the completed application must be signed in person in front of a PEC employee at our office.
