About
Governance Information
Plateau Electric Cooperative is guided by democratic principles that ensure every member has a voice. As a not-for-profit, member-owned cooperative, PEC is governed by a board of directors elected by the membership. This local control helps keep the co-op focused on the needs and values of the communities we serve.
Members play a vital role in shaping the direction of the cooperative. Each year, they have the opportunity to vote in director elections and participate in PEC’s annual meeting. It’s grassroots governance in action—neighbors making decisions that impact their co-op and community.
